Walruses are large marine mammals from Planet Earth and Mobius. They are easily recognised by their large tusks, whiskers and blubbery bodies.

Walrus characters have appeared in Sonic the Comic on occasion:
- Joe Sushi is one of the animals that commonly was captured and used as an organic battery for Badniks. Sushi was one of the Emerald Hill folk before moving to the Turquoise Hill Zone.
- Captain Plunder's species is unknown, but his large tusks could make him a walrus.
- The Per'fessor, Plunder's one-time assistant, could also be a walrus thanks to his substantial whiskers, but doesn't have the teeth.
- Bill Walrus was a contestant on pirate television show "Mock the Doc".
- The former Woodzone Zone Leader was a villainous walrus who worked with Grimer to create new Badniks in a Woodzone Badnik Processing Plant.
- Odobi, one of the leading members of The Order of Magick is a walrus.
