The Bruise Brothers are a pair of brothers from New Tek City in the Special Zone. The pair look identical, right down to the suits and sunglasses they wear. The only difference between them is the different coloured bands around their hats.
Around once a month, the Bruise Brothers fall out with each other and start a brawl in the middle of the city that ensd with massive damage dealt to the area's property. Both are extremely strong, so the brothers use cars, buses and signposts to clobber each other with. Every time, the fight is only ever stopped when the Bruise Brothers' mother intervenes and drags her "naughty" sons home.
Sonic the Hedgehog attempted to break up one of their fights early, trying to decide which one was the "good guy". It seemed as if he had found the right one when one of the brothers attacked him. He pledged to help the second, but he punched Sonic too. Happy to leave them to it, Sonic only returned to the fight to save the boys' mother. However, even she attacked him when she revealed he was only trying to stop them fighting.
