Story[]
The Mobius Banking Corporation is going through a financial crisis. The war on Mobius has taken a heavy toll and the defeat of Doctor Robotnik is leaving things even more vulnerable. The bonuses are shrinking and the company faces bankruptcy. A member of the board has taken the forward step to hire someone highly recommended to him - Rouge the Bat. Rouge's first decision as the company's new CEO is to fire the board, spouting a string of management jargon that her cohorts actually find inspiring. Her second task is to send the frontline workforce home early, something the remnants of the board despair at...
That night, as Rouge adjusts to her new office, she is visited by a hologram of Master Scholar. Again, he marvels how easily she played double agent with Robotnik and that the pending invasion is little more than a game to her. Rouge insists she has gained access to the CEO's private vault, yet even she is unprepared for the contents - a Mobius Ring. Master Scholar takes this opportunity to lock Rouge in the vault and announce that her services are no longer required - quickly followed by an explosion that tears the building apart.
Rouge survives by activating a shield and brushes off the termination of her contract. Yet even Rouge is worried about the prospect of an invasion and flies off to make preparations.
Trivia[]
- The translucent green shield that protects Rouge from the explosion is taken from the Sonic Adventure video game and became a staple in the Sonic games as a basic power-up.
- Rouge's story directly ties in to The Battle for Drak, in which Rouge warns Tails of the impending invasion.

This is currently the only Rouge the Bat story. All others that star Rouge have been Sonic's World strips.
