Sonic vs. Silver is a complete Sonic the Hedgehog story which appeared in Issue 265 of Sonic the Comic Online.

Story[]
Sonic is on the trail of a pair of Detoniks but is still no closer to actually figuring out how to free their captives without accidentally killing them. Suddenly, the two robots notice Sonic and flee- Sonic is faced with the choice of either taking the Detoniks out right away or having them explode when they reach their target anyway. Suddenly, a brilliant blue light shrouds the Detoniks and dismantles them. Before Sonic can process what is going on, he sees the individual responsible for this: Silver the Hedgehog.
Sonic is initially impressed but this soon gives way to irritation as Silver begins to fight him. Silver tells Sonic of his mission to prevent Sonic from ever turning into "the Iblis" (Super Sonic) and destroying all life on Mobius. Sonic fights back and momentarily gets the upper hand until A.G. says something which gives Silver an idea. Utilising his telekinetic powers, Silver utterly overpowers Sonic and is about to go in for the kill... until he realises he is not capable of such an act. Unfortunately, Death-Trap choose this moment to make their arrival and incapacitate both hedgehogs, before taking Sonic away to meet their employer...

The previous Sonic the Hedgehog story to be published was An Unconventional Convention! but, as that story was a flashback, the previous story in contemporary continuity was Rise of the Detoniks, which Sonic explicitly states took place three days prior to this story. The next is Unleashed.
