Sonic the Poster Mag is the eighth edition of Sonic the Poster Mag. Released on the 26th November, at the price of £1.75, it contained a giant Sonic the Hedgehog - Knuckles the Echidna fight poster, as well as the two characters teaming up in a new story. This was the only Sonic the Poster Mag story starring Sonic not to be reprinted in the Sonic Holiday Special.

Sonic and Knuckles[]
The Chaos Emerald Thief is a complete story by Nigel Kitching, Bojan Djukac (misspelled "Djukic") and Elitta Fell. Thief Smirch has stolen the purple Chaos Emerald from the Floating Island and Knuckles has come to claim it back. However, so has Sonic and the heroes get in each other's way, allowing Smirch to escape. Their continued efforts to stop the thief end up just as frustratingly futile and a confrontation between them leads to Knuckles punching Sonic - right into Smirch!
