Skeletons are the structure of bones beneath our skin that give us support, keep us upright and protects our major organs. In Sonic the Comic, they are often seen without their fleshy disguise and are sometimes animated to act like living beings.
- Ul-Tima used her magic to pull an army of skeletons from beneath the ground to fight Ax-Battler and Gilius-Thunderhead in Citadel of Dead Souls.
- Juggernaut made light work of an obstruction of skeletons in Back to Unreality!'s Midnight Graveyard.
- Skeletons were an attraction (or obstacle) on the Carnival Night Zone's Hell House Ride that Knuckles the Echidna had to fight in Carnival Night Conspiracy.
- The whole of the Kohenyu Graveyard was littered with the bones of the extinct Kohenyu, only kept alive by the Soul Crystal and the Spirit of the Herd.
- The Skeleton Crew are the ghosts of skeletons from the Grim Dead Zone.
Other skeletons have been seen in dungeons such as in Golden Axe and Decap Attack, particularly when they've been left to rot after being chained up so long.
