A giant scorpion lives in the Desert of Eternity on Shanazar. It guards the Mystic Mountain and attacked Sonic the Hedgehog and Doctor Kintobor whilst on a mission from Princess Kupacious. The Imperial Guards initially tried to tackle the beast but Sonic merely ran around it until it was traped on a stack of sand surrounded by a moat.
Outside of Sonic the Comic, former assistant editor Matt Harris had the Message Zone alias of "Sin Scorpion", before reducing it just "Sin".
