The Sand Ocean Zone is a Zone on Mobius. It is a desertous region, complete with pyramid structures, although it is situated alongside a pristine shoreline. "Scorptanks" were said to be battling armoured opponents there at one point and are possibly a redesign of the Skorp Badnik.
During the New Robotnik Empire's invasion of Mobius, Doctor Ivo Robotnik lost a key strategic location in the Rail Canyon Zone. Initially furious about his defeat, he cheered up quickly, knowing that napalm eggs were already on their way to bombard the Sand Ocean Zone. He then planned to make this a new base, replacing the Rail Canyon Zone.

- "Sand Ocean" originally appeared in Sonic Adventure 2, namely as one of Robotnik's bases. This preceded its appearance in Sonic the Comic Online by ten years.
