Ribble is a town to the east of Granseal Island. The settlement is high up on a rocky hill, with a maze of caverns existing underneath. This underground network is home to an archaeological dig that discovered a store of weapons from a forgotten civilisation.
History[]
It is unknown what happened to the previous residents of Ribble. Several thousands of years later, an excavation was granted by the king of the land. Trevillion, one of the workers, discovered a security door from an old building. Despite being unsure of what the writing on the door said, he was able to prise the double doors open and made his way inside. Armed with a lantern, he discovered an armoury filled with guns, ammunition and even a tank.
Later, a Zeonite evicted Trevillion and his friends from the dig with a letter signed by the king. More Zeonites moved into the site and claimed the weapons for themselves. In one chamber, they were able to directly speak with a vision of Zeon. The Shining Force made their way to learn of their plan. Although they easily fought past the guards outside, a Zeonite armed with a pistol shot Bowie and was subsequently knocked out by Chester. With Maximillian's help, Bowie was brought back to full strength and was able to defeat Baron Kadavaar. He then tricked him into revealing his motives. With his new powers, Bowie teleported the team away from Ribble and into the Ancient Tower.
