Protecto-Cossies are environmental hazard suits provided to the residents and tourists of Skegpool. Since the beach is located right next to the Chemical Plant Zone, the ocean is heavily contaminated with toxins leaking from the plant. Tourists are still allowed to swim, but require Protecto-Cossies to prevent them from being poisoned by the chemical waste.
