Name The Artist compo was a competition run in Issue 72 of Sonic the Comic. As part of the special UKCAC Zone, STC was offering a unique piece of artwork (possibly the one pictured) to one lucky Boomer. All they had to do was identify the artist that drew and coloured the pictured scene, with Sonic the Hedgehog fighting a version of the Combinik (from the cover of Sonic the Poster Mag 6). The only clue was that the artist in question had not been mentioned in the previous UKCAC feature but would be attending the convention.
In Issue 84's Control Zone, the name of the artist was revealed to be Mike Hadley and Selena Thomas' name was "pulled from Megadroid's oil can", winning her the artwork.
