The Moonshine Plains Zone is a Zone on Mobius. It is unknown whether or not the name has any bearing on the climate or theme of the location.
Following Doctor Ivo Robotnik's defeat, the Moonshine Plains Zone was one of many to adopt a Zone Leader to run the area's politics. For many years, this Zone Leader was Bucky O' Bear, who was responsible for defending the Zone from numerous Badnik attacks (presumably the majority of which resulting from the New Robotnik Empire) and fending off Fabian Vane concerts.
In 2012, elections began for a new Zone Leader. Incumbent Bear ran on the slogan "Hoping For the Best", determined that his experience would sway the voters. His main rival was Hick Monkey, who had been campaigning with the platform "It's My Turn, Darn It!"
It was revealed that the choosing of a new Zone Sheriff would be selected by means of a raffle, suggesting a large number of candidates.
