Middlesbrough football team (commonly written as Middlesbrough F.C.) is a football club in the North East of England.
In Sonic the Comic, the Thin Controller revealed that Max D. Cap had brought the football club down to Hell, believing they were dead. In Max's defence, that was supposedly "a mistake anybody could have made". This possibly relates to Middlesbrough's terrible form in the 1996-97 Premier League season that saw them finish 19th and relegated.
