Megatal is a nigh-indestructible alloy invented by Tekno the Canary while she was in Doctor Robotnik's employ. Megatal is the strongest metal on Mobius and has been used to construct several of Robotnik's deadliest machines, including the Cyberniks, Mekanik and Commander Brutus. Obviously, Megatal must be difficult and costly to produce, otherwise Robotnik would build all of his robots with it. However, Megatal does have a weakness: like most metallic materials, it weakens when exposed to extreme cold.
