Strips[]
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Doomsday is a 3-part story, this part by Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson, Steve White and Tom Frame. The Omni-Viewer has returned to warn Sonic and the Chaotix Crew about the imminent return of Super Sonic. Since Omni isn't powerful enough to take Sonic back to Mobius yet, Sonic has to help Chaotix fight Lightmare and Lord Sidewinder prepares to catch his biggest prize yet.
Knuckles the Echidna[]
Victims is a 3-part story written by Kitching, drawn by Nigel Dobbyn and lettered by Elitta Fell. Knuckles and Porker Lewis have been captured by Doctor Robotnik and Doctor Zachary and are being led to Robotnik's new Biological Computer, soon to be powered by the Emerald Hill folk. Zachary tells how he survived the fall from the Floating Island and got his robotic enhancements. Omni arrives in the background to see the terrible events unfolding.
Decap Attack[]
Dead! is a 3-part story written by Kitching and Richard Rayner, with art by Mick McMahon and letters by Ellie de Ville. Chuck D. Head and company are on the train to Hell, accused of being dead. Worse still, Max D. Cap is in charge of the train and is still being egged on by Rupert. Since they aren't dead, the accountant is keen to finish the job. Before Chuck can stop the train, the vehicle arrives at their destination.
Sonic's World[]
Solidarity is a complete story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Andy Pritchett and lettered by Frame. With Robotnik away, Grimer is coming down hard on the people of the Metropolis Zone, so the Freedom Fighters take some time out to help them. When they are captured by the riot Troopers, the citizens rally together, freeing their heroes and taking out the bullies themselves.
Features[]
Megadroid keeps the Control Zone short and sweet this time, dedicating much of the page to an advert for the Issue 100 celebrations. In the Sega Charts, FIFA '97 and Virtua Cop 2 are still top of the Mega Drive and Saturn charts, respectively. Ecco the Dolphin re-enters the Mega-CD chart in first place and Dynamite Headdy moves up to be the new Game Gear leader.
The theme of this issue's Graphic Zone is "Fab Gear", with the STC cast dressed in the latest fashions. The trendy pictures won the artists a pack of Crayola Mini Stampers 2. Letters in Speedlines include questions about how Megadroid gets bossed about by the Humes, any STC "dudettes" and there's some confusion about where the Sonic games are set. Everything printed in Speedlines won a Sega Mega Hog Tag.
