Sonic the Hedgehog[]
A Christmas Wish is a complete story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Roberto Corona, coloured by Steve White and lettered by Tom Frame. Although Sonic is stuck in the Special Zone, he's making the best of Christmas Day. Elsewhere, young Richie Rover thinks he's contracted powers like Insect-Guy and jumps out of the window, with Charmy Bee fortunately catching him. Rover then gets in the way when the Chaotix Crew fight The Blazer. However, Sonic cheers him up by inviting him to hand out presents at the local hospital.
Captain Plunder[]
Shanghaied is a 3-part story written by Nigel Kitching, with art by Richard Elson and lettering by Elitta Fell. A trio of sharks have drank Proctor Speckle's transformation serum and have boarded the Sky Pirates' ship. Mr Fry drags Simpson the Cat into a brawl with them, but when Fry turns back into Speckle, Plunder is forced to rescue his least favourite crew member. Afterwards, the captain treats everyone to some Vintage Rum Truffles, but Speckle has escaped with the lot of them!
Decap Attack[]
The Legend of Mr Cuddle Bunny is a 3-part story by Kitching, Richard Rayner and Fell. Mr Timothy Twitch is after Mr Cuddle Bunny's hat and his fortune. Professor Frank N. Stein orders them out, but a fight begins between Chuck D. Head and the two antagonists. When Cuddle Bunny offers Mick C McTosis the hat, Chuck saves the day by throwing Head and the hat into the fire. Cuddle Bunny thanks Igor for locking him away, writing 643 new stories.
Sonic's World[]
Season of Goodwill is a complete Christmas story by Stringer, with art from Andy Pritchett and White, lettering by Gordon Robson. The Freedom Fighters are enjoying Christmas in Tekno's Workshop, unaware that Doctor Robotnik plans to fire his new weapon at the Happy Valley Zone. He is visited by Father Christmas, who fails to make him change his ways. During their exchange, Shortfuse the Cybernik manages to destroy the weapon.
Features[]
Megadroid is in the Christmas spirit in this issue's Control Zone, introducing the contents of this issue before thanking Boomers for their Christmas cards. The Sega Charts see Road Rash 2 and Brutal: Paws of Fury remain top of their respective charts, whilst NiGHTS Into Dreams moves to the top of the Saturn and Micro Machines 2 re-enters the Game Gear chart in first place.
The Graphic Zone has a "Crimbo" theme this week, with several STC characters enjoying the festivities. Printed pictures won the artists a pack of Crayola Mini Stampers 2. The Mega Drive version of Sonic 3D is presented in a special two-page Review Zone, with Chris Jones generously awarding the game 95%.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 continues the centre of attention in the Q Zone, with tips on how to beat the Hydrocity Zone. Two letters in Speedlines are concerning Back Issues and advise from Stringer, Kitching and Elson on how to become an artist for STC.
