Issue 35 is the thirty-fifth edition of Sonic the Comic. Released on the 17th September 1994 at the price of £1.15, the issue contained four original stories, two of them new, as well as well as several features and a free gift of some Sonic Stickers.

Sonic the Hedgehog
Power of the Chaos Emeralds is a 2-part story by Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson and Ellie de Ville that continues on from Enter Knuckles. Doctor Robotnik is behind held in Kintobor's Laboratory with Porker Lewis reluctantly questioning him - until the arrival of Knuckles the Echidna. A swift capture of Porker forces Sonic to hand over the Chaos Emeralds and the two villains make their escape. Sonic and Tails pursue on the biplane, managing to ground Robotnik's Egg-o-Matic on the Floating Island. Fed up, Knuckles gets ready for a final showdown.
Mutant League
Bring Me The Head of Coach Brikka is a 6-part Mutant League story, this part written by Brian Williamson and Steve White, drawn by Anthony Williams and White, with lettering by Tom Frame. Zalgor Prigg has tricked K.T. Slayer into bringing him the head of Coach Brikka and hasn't got to marry Brenda Brikka. Instead, he is forced to work with the Midway Monsters, kicking Grim's head into the door to break it down. Inside, he retrieves the head and challenges Bones Jackson to a final play-off - winner takes all.
Tails
Zonerunner & The Flock is a 4-part Tails story, the first to feature Tails' missions in the Chemical Plant Zone. Written by Mark Eyles with art by Roberto Corona and Elitta Fell, the story sees Sonic and Tails escaping from the Zone, navigating Mega Mack and avoiding bullets fired by Sol Furic and Nutzan Bolt. To escape, the heroes jump in a pipe, but a stray bullet sends Tails down another direction. The young fox is pumped straight into the chambers of the evil Nutzan Bolt, who is busy telling Robotnik of his plans to flood the surrounding Zones. He also takes offence to Tails saying the "'S' Word"...
Decap Attack
Who Killed Chuck? is a 6-part Decap story by Kitching and Steve Potter. Castle Frank N. Stein has been visited by Detective Case, a police officer looking for a missing window-salesman. In private, the residents discover that it was Igor who killed the salesman and used the corpse to create Chuck D. Head - meaning Igor killed Chuck!
Features
The Control Zone hosted by Megadroid contains plenty of news on forthcoming free gifts, Tails' new story and the return of the Eternal Champions. Despite all this, Megadroid is too busy playing on his new Multi-Mega. "Boomerwatch" lists all the Speedlines and Graphic Zone winners that have not provided their addresses and could not receive their prize. The Sega Charts are largely unchanged, with FIFA International Soccer still dominating Mega Drive and Mega-CD charts, plus Jungle Book remaining king of the Master System games. George Foreman's Boxing is a new entry at the top of the Game Gear chart.
Three games are listed in this issue's Review Zone. David Gibbon covers Hardball (73%) and The Incredible Hulk (90%), while Vincent Low awards Taz in Escape From Mars (all three MD) with 70%. Garry Penn helms the News Zone, providing previews for Urban Strike, The Pagemaster and Theme Park. Short Bursts also features information on expansive racer Rough Racer, the delayed releases of some Virgin titles and a question to all Boomers about how they perceive the current gaming industry.
The Photo Zone features pictures of Boomers dressed as Sonic, netting themselves a badge. "Sonic Solved" continues in the Q Zone, with Low helping readers complete the last three Zones of Sonic the Hedgehog 3. Finally, a Tomy Sonic the Hedgehog Water Fun Game goes out to people who sent Speedlines letters about hospital food, solo Knuckles stories, the initials H.W.A. ("Hedgehog With Attitude"), someone smitten with Tails and a Robotnik fan.
