Strips[]

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Whodunit? is a complete story by Ed Reynolds with art and letters by Mike Corker. Framed for the recent terrorist attacks, Sonic is meeting his old enemies to see who's behind it. Grouchio Marxio isn't responsible for Mega Mack being sold to Max Gamble and he supplied it to Percival James Kane. Sonic meets him in a helicopter and discover he's just profitting from the news. Sonic is then informed of an attack on the Green Hill Zone. He rushes to stop it but ends up being accused of terrorism.

Sonic's World[]

Rouge Alert is a 2-part story written by Robert Frazer, drawn by Jonathan Lock, coloured by Iain Stewart and lettered by Charles Ellis. Duke Biriud is due to make a presentation at the Hill Top Zone's High Academy and Dunzi is preparing the Keepers. They learn that Rouge the Bat is here to cause trouble but are unable to find her in time. In the main building, Rouge activates her bombs...

Tekno & Shorty[]

High Noon is a complete story by Corker and Chris G. Shorty the Squirrel has been forced into a battle against Slave One by the Regent of Solstice in order to protect Tekno the Canary but things aren't going well. Without his armour, Shorty soon loses the battle. When the slave attempts to take two hostages, the Regent orders his men to attack but relents when he is given a sack of gold. Tekno and Shorty awake to find themselves in the Pyramid of Atum in the company of Set.

Features[]

This issue's Control Zone begins with Megadroid planning his holiday to the Caribbean before introducing this issue's stories and features. The Data Zone features brief introductions to Sonic, The Family, the Marxio Brothers, Kane, Rouge, Shorty and Tekno. The "story so far" is that "a dangerous villain is threatening Mobius with Mega Mack bombs - and worse, it appears to be Sonic! With the Freedom Fighters out of action and the Green Hill Zone at risk, can the real Sonic save the day?"

John Taylor presents the Review Zone this week awarding Sega Superstars Tennis 80%. Taylor praises the absurdity of Sega franchises playing tennis in the Green Hill Zone, the online play and the faithful sound effects and graphics. However, he laments that it "leaves you wanting more", the dodgy music choices and initial unresponsiveness. Iain Stewart presents a special Q Zone, helping Boomers use Sonic in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Pin-ups this issue are of the front cover (Adamis) and a scene from Whodunit? (Corker).
