Sonic the Hedgehog[]
The Sky Is Falling is a complete story by Ed Reynolds, with art by Zak Simmonds-Hurn and Chris G, concluding the Sonic Adventure 2 story arc. As the Death Carrier continues to go down in flames, Knuckles makes plans to escape with the unconscious Doctor Zachary and the Chaos Emeralds. Meanwhile on the top deck, Sonic and Shadow's battle comes to a head as Super Sonic enters the fray. But Shadow is rapidly running out of power. And where's Robotnik?
Sonic's World[]
The Big Bang is a complete story by Mike Corker, with Chris G providing art. Tekno is frantically searching for Shortfuse, having cleared him of the robbery charges, but the hostages remain in his power. It is clear to Tekno that Shorty is being controlled through his suit, but can Tekno make him come to his senses? And why has he connected his biological computer to the Ring of Eternity?
Features[]
The Control Zone celebrates the passing Valentine's Day, although Megadroid isn't happy that the Humes are now demanding wages. In other news, with both main stories ending this issue, the droid urges Boomers to look forward to the rest of 2006.
This issue's Data Zone provides brief descriptions of all the characters appearing in this issue, including Sonic, Super Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Knuckles, Robotnik, The Syndicate, Shortfuse and Tekno. The story so far is that, "with the help of technology from the evil Drakon Empire, Sonic has thwarted the Syndicate’s plan to destroy Mobius! The Chaos Emeralds are back in Knuckles’ hands and Sonic is determined to prevent Shadow & Robotnik from escaping. He’s so determined that he has once again transformed into Super Sonic…
Wallpapers this issue are largely dominated by the showdown between Super Sonic and Shadow with three posters (Evans, Stiv and Simmonds-Hurn/Chris G) dedicated to it. Super appears in the other two pin-ups as well, with a single shot of him in the rain (Simmonds-Hurn/G) and another of him defeating the Freedom Fighters (Orin). The Preview Zone, written by Megadroid, is a look ahead to the upcoming Sonic Riders game.
Finally, the Next Issue page features Issue 239's cover and looks forward to the all-new stories inside.

Reception[]
Reaction to the issue was largely positive, particularly the artwork. Evans' cover was noted to be "awesome" and amazing, with readers unhappy that she had not drawn the main strip. One commenter on the Message Zone declared it to be the best STC-O cover yet. The posters were also praised, with several people gushing about Orin's work. In other areas, the Preview Zone was mainly ignored, although it was said that it was "informative" and "nice".
On the other hand, a couple of readers expressed their dissatisfaction towards the issue, one going as far as calling it "boring" and that it was their least favourite issue. Particular criticism was directed at the rushed Sonic story and the confusing ending to "The Big Bang". Overall, however, many said it was worth the wait since the previous issue.
