Issue 237 is the two hundred and thirty-seventh edition of Sonic the Comic and fifteenth overall edition of Sonic the Comic Online. Released on the 24th of October 2005, the issue contains three new stories and several features.

Strips[]
Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Vendettas is a complete story, part of the Sonic Adventure 2 story arc, by Ed Reynolds, Zak Simmonds-Hurn, Chris G and Charles Ellis. The Death Carrier is being destroyed thanks to the malfunction of the Chaos Siphon, making Knuckles the Echidna's task easier. Outside, Sonic chases down Shadow the Hedgehog but falls off the edge. Fortunately, he turns to Super Sonic in order to settle the score.
Shenmue[]
The Day The Snow Turned To Rain is a complete story written by Reynolds and Amy, with extra dialogue and letters by Ellis, Amy providing the art. Ryo Hazuki comes home to find his father being killed by Lan-Di. He is knocked down by Lan-Di's bodyguard, with the assassin not even noticing Ryo's presence there.
Sonic's World[]
The Least Likely is the second of a three-part arc by Mike Corker, Chris G and Ellis. Shorty the Squirrel is the lead suspect in a robbery and kidnapping case, but manages to escape from Tekno's Workshop to prove his name. Shorty and Tekno the Canary learn that someone else, masquerading as Shortfuse, is responsible for the robberies, but the truth behind the abductions is more sinister.
Features[]
Megadroid introduces this Bonfire Night issue with the Control Zone, outlining the strips and features inside this issue. He also teases what might be coming after next issue and advertises the Comic Expo in Brighton.
The Data Zone gives brief information about Sonic, Shadow, Tails, Doctor Robotnik, The Syndicate, the Drakon Empire, the Chaotix Crew, Shortfuse, Tekno, Police Chief Bodger, Ryo and Lan-Di. The 'story so far' states that "The Syndicate planned to use the Chaos Emeralds to ignite all of Mobius' residual Chaos Energy and destroy the planet! After making a deal with his old enemies in the Drakon Empire, Sonic gained the technology needed to prevent this apocalypse. Now with the Syndicate thwarted, Sonic prepares to bring them down- once and for all."
Matt Harris presents this issue's Review Zone, awarding the Sonic Gems Collection compilation 88%. Pin-ups are of the cover, a scene from The Betrayal of Mobius (Stephen Davis), Shortfuse the Cybernik (Stiv), a scene from Journey to the Crossroads (Adamis) and the Hallowe'en Megadroid (Corker).
A special Bonfire Zone feature helps Boomers make their own Robotnik "Guy" and tells them how to stay safe and protect hedgehogs.
