Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Two Roads Diverged is a complete story written by Ed Reynolds, drawn by Zak Simmonds-Hurn and lettered by Charles Ellis. Trapped above the Emerald Ocean, Sonic gets a lifeline when Tails comes to the rescue. They fly to Flickies' Island, where Knuckles the Echidna is already battling Shadow the Hedgehog. Sonic joins in but is forced to quit when the Death Carrier appears from beneath the ground. With Tails flying away, assuming that Sonic is on board, Sonic seems to have no escape...
Tails[]
Journey to the Crossroads is a 3-part story by Reynolds, Adamis and Kerrie Mock. The fox resistance group crosses over the Dimension Bridge and into the Land Beyond, with Tails questioning their actions. Tails and Morain steal onto a train, whilst the others prepare an escape route. Errol Blackthorn follows them into the train and an angry confrontation leads to Tails realising just how dangerous this mission is.

Megadroid presents this issue's Control Zone, commenting that summer is on its way. The Data Zone gives brief information on several of this issue's characters, including Sonic, Shadow, Doctor Robotnik, The Syndicate, Knuckles, Tails, Morain, Pippa, Trent and Errol. The 'story so far' is that "the first part of the Syndicate's plan is complete. The Chaos Emeralds are together again and due the [sic] collision the Special Zone has been totally destroyed. Now Sonic lies imprisoned and the Syndicate plan to use the Emeralds to destroy Mobius…"
Stuart Gipp hosts a Q Zone for STC's 12 birthday. After covering Sonic's current goings on in the game world, Gipp provides tips and cheats for Sonic Advance 3, Sonic Battle, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Mega Collection Plus and Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
Pin-ups include the cover, a scene from Fate of the Special Zone (Thalia Evans and a shot of Shadow and the Floating Island (Simmonds-Hurn).
