Issue 217 is the two hundred and seventeenth edition of Sonic the Comic. Released on the 3rd October 2001 at the price of £1.50, the comic contained four reprinted stories, one feature and a free gift of Vampire Teeth. The comic was almost identical to Issue 100, although with a different cover and fewer features.

This issue's Graphic Zone theme was simply Portrait Gallery, although pictures were related to STC characters surfing. People with published pictures won themselves a Sonic the Hedgehog watch.
