The Terra Connection is a complete story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Richard Elson and lettered by Ellie de Ville. The environmental collapse of Mobius is continuing, with Knuckles and Tails volunteering to save the Emerald Hill folk. The other Freedom Fighters travel through the Ring of Eternity to Easter Island on Planet Earth, where they discover that the moai can come to life to protect their home. Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary learn that a machine underground is transferring life energy from Earth to one of the New Zones on Mobius, which becomes their next destination once the computer (and the statues it controls) is destroyed.
