Sonic the Hedgehog[]
The Forgotten Badnik is a complete story written and coloured by Nigel Kitching, drawn by Richard Elson and lettered by Ellie de Ville. Sonic has been led to a forgotten base once owned by Doctor Robotnik by researcher Pringle and discovers a prototype Trooper. Pringle betrays him, using the Badnik to attack Sonic. When the Badnik refuses to listen to Pringle and tries to use him as an organic battery, Sonic rescues him before the ceiling caves in.
Amy Rose[]
Out of Time is a 2-part story that is part of the Eternity Ring story arc. Written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Roberto Corona, coloured by Nigel Dobbyn and lettered by Elitta Fell, the story sees Amy and Tekno the Canary's next stop to be 1860s Kansas, where outlaw Butch is harassing the sheriff. After helping the lawman, Tekno flies off to a sighting of "tin men", but is shot down by a robot. Amy rushes to help while riding on a horse and both discover that Colonel Granite is behind it all.
Tails[]
Rat Race is a complete story by Stringer, Mick McMahon and Tom Frame. Tails has managed to apprehend a pig bank robber on roller skates, but newcomer Rat Bratt isn't impressed. He challenges Tails to a race - he runs, Tails flies. The fox reluctantly agrees but loses at each checkpoint. At the end, he realises Bratt has used a twin brother to fly to each checkpoint in a helicopter and the Bratts are ousted from town as cheats.
Features[]
The very last Control Zone appears this issue, with Megadroid announcing the issue's content for the final time. As he prepares to return to his home planet, he urges Boomers to "stay cool", but is happy that the STC action will begin from the very first page in future.
This issue's Graphic Zone has the theme of "Wild West", with Sonic, Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose and even Metallix Mark 3 dressed like cowboys. Successful submission won the readers a Sonic the Hedgehog watch.
