Strips[]

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Whatever Happened to Grimer? is a complete story by Nigel Kitching, Roberto Corona, Nigel Dobbyn and Ellie de Ville. The Metropolis Zone is being attacked by a Metallix and Sonic is no matched for it. The unconscious hedgehog is taken to the Metropolis City High Security Prison, where Grimer hypnotises Sonic into revealing what happened to Doctor Robotnik during their last encounter. He is then taken back to the city and given left with a fake Metallix wreckage, tricking him into thinking he has won. Even the Governor of the prison is forced to co-operate.

Amy[]

Future Distractions is a complete story by Lew Stringer, Carl Flint, John M Burns and Tom Frame. Amy and Tekno the Canary materialise in the year 5000A.D. of Mobius, where they learn that their adventures are top sellers in the history chips. However, they are woefully outdated in terms of technology, but are able to defeat villain Gremlyn with a very simple catapult.

Tails[]

Bite Back is a complete story by Stringer, with art from Flint and letters by Fell. Sleek the Panther from the Doctor Robotnik Appreciation Tribe wants to challenge Tails to a fight and easily defeats him, worrying a group of snakes in the area. Tails gets the upper hand after giving some insects the idea to weaken the ground beneath Sleek's feet.

Features[]

In the penultimate Control Zone, Megadroid introduces the free gift, strips and features inside the issue, especially the "final story" from the Classic Sonic archives. There are also suggestions of other ways to use the trainer tags, such as around your neck, wrist or ears.

The Graphic Zone sees Sonic and friends merged with other animals to produce some odd designs. Printed artwork received a Sonic the Hedgehog watch. Letters in Speedlines are about Doctor Kintobor's origins, the "cesspit" that is London and a query about the "barrel of doom" from Sonic the Hedgehog 3's Carnival Night Zone. These letters won Boomers a mystery prize.
