Strips[]

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Robotnik Reigns Supreme is a 3-part story by Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson and Tom Frame. Doctor Robotnik has absorbed the power of the Chaos Emeralds and uses his abilities to send Sonic into an alternate universe, where Sonic never existed. Here, Amy and Johnny Lightfoot never became Freedom Fighters, Porker Lewis is a slave of Robotnik and, much worse, Tails was never saved from drowning in the Swampland Zone.

Tails[]

First Flight is a complete origin story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Roberto Corona, coloured by Nigel Dobbyn and lettered by Elitta Fell. Tails is walking through the Nameless Zone when he is picked on by Witless Chris. After hearing him boasting about fighting bears, Captain Tooth and Sergeant Claw kidnap Chris. Tails tries to save him but falls off a cliff, learning how to fly in the process. He makes a hash of saving Chris, but gets an apology from him.

Double Sonic[]

Show of Strength is a complete story that takes place at the same time as "Robotnik Reigns Supreme". Written by Stringer, drawn by Corona, coloured by Dobbyn and lettered by Frame, the story sees Sonic introduce himself to the current inhabitants of Mobius. He is able to trash some Troopers but is forced to save the people when Robotnik displays his power. Sonic convinces the deity not to destroy the planet and prepares the lead the resistance.

Amy[]

Yesterday's Heroes is a complete story by Stringer, Corona, Dobbyn and Ellie de Ville. The Sunshine Valley Zone is under attack from Badniks, but Ultra-Duck is the first hero to react to the danger. However, Tekno the Canary learns that he is just using old Badnik parts to trick people and is useless against real robots. The Freedom Fighters save the day and reveal "Big Bill Screwloose" to be a fraud.

Features[]

Megadroid introduces the strips, features and the free gift that come with this issue in the Control Zone. He also apologises for the recent Segaworld promotion, with Boomers believing they would get free access to all the rides and machines.

Speedlines sees Megadroid return to answer questions about a new Sonic virtual pet, there's a Mighty the Armadillo torturer and another reader who lives on Planet Earth and Mobius. All printed entries into Speedlines won readers an Enamel Badge. The theme of this week's Graphic Zone is simply "Robotnik", with all pictures containing the dictator (or variations of him). Everyone who had their picture published won a Sonic the Hedgehog watch.
