Strips[]

Sonic the Hedgehog[]

Flickies' Island is a 3-part story by Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson and Tom Frame. Sonic and Tails have followed a Flicky to Flickies' Island and have discovered that Doctor Robotnik is operating out of an ancient base. He happily shows them how he fishes for Flickies for his new Badniks and these models prove to be resistant to a Spin Attack. By the time Sonic has smashed one robot, Tails has been captured.

Captain Plunder[]

Captain Plunder and the Spice Maidens is a 6-part story written by Kitchiing, drawn by Nigel Dobbyn and lettered by Elitta Fell. With Zorabel and the Spice Maidens on board, the Sky Pirates head for Skull Rock to speak with Krakiota, a serpent who knows all the secrets of Mobius. However, he is a lot less impressive in person and Plunder's bumbling loses them the chance to find the treasure. Fortunately, Simpson the Cat's cooking skills convince the fish to change his mind.

Decap Attack[]

Wish is a complete story by Richard Rayner and Kitching, with art also by Kitching and letters from Ellie de Ville. Sick of all the fighting in Castle Frank N. Stein, Head stumbles upon Peter the Perfect Pixie and asks him to make Igor less horrible. The spell works, as Igor puts Head back on Chuck D. Head and loosens the latter monster's bandages, tickling him. After helping out Professor Frank N. Stein in his laboratory and offering a group hug, Igor is turned back to normal by an exasperated Head.

Sonic's World[]

Deception is a complete story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Andy Pritchett and lettered by Frame. Whilst hiking in the Rocky Valley Zone, Amy Rose and Tekno the Canary discover a crashed UFO and are attacked by aliens. However, after using a boring machine to drill into a cave, the girls learn that "Sid and Tone" are locals that have found some jewellery. Amy convinces them it is "Geek's Gold" and the aliens leave after squabbling.

Features[]

Megadroid begins this issue with the Control Zone, introducing the stories inside. There is also a mention for the Double Sonic series beginning next issue. The Sega Charts show that Sonic 3D is still the Mega Drive leader and Manx TT also remains top of the Saturn chart. Unusually, there is no acknowledgement of STC's fourth anniversary in the issue at all.

The theme of this issue's Graphic Zone is "International Zone", with Sonic and Knuckles the Echidna dressing up to represent different countries and time periods. Successful artists received a pack of Crayola Mini Stampers 2. Speedlines features from Boomers angry with Tails' portrayal, another missing Shortfuse the Cybernik and "Sonic" writes in to praise the Humes. Printed letters won a Sonic 2 Crucial Cup.
