The Hidden Zone is a Zone on Mobius. The Zone has an unusual landscape, appearing primarily as rocky flats littered with what appear to be giant keys. There are dome-shaped buildings in the Zone inhabited by Mobians seeking refuge from Doctor Robotnik. The zone is shielded from the outside world by a cloaking device, however Robotnik was able to find the Hidden Zone after battling Sonic the Hedgehog and sending him falling from his Sky Fortress. Robotnik was able to track Sonic's fall and discovered he had landed in the Hidden Zone, ordering his Badnik army to invade. Although Sonic was able to defeat the invading Badniks, considerable damage had been done and the Hidden Zone was no longer a secret. Sonic escorted the residents and Zone Leader Steve Owl to the Emerald Hill Zone and the Hidden Zone was left abandoned. Robotnik supposedly invaded the empty Zone and plundered the area's rich treasures.
