The Greenfield Zone is a green Zone on Mobius, much like the Green Hill Zone and Emerald Hill Zone. Its Zone Leader is a bird. The only building to be seen in the area is a grooming salon.
The Zone was the scene of a disaster during Alf Bandstand's "round-the-Zones" balloon flight. His co-pilot, a woodpecker, accidentally poked a hole through the balloon, causing to career uncontrollably towards the ground. Sonic the Hedgehog and Tails were called in to help, but the accident coincided with hypnotism by Doctor Sorders that made Tails believe he was too cool to help out. Sonic tricked him into showing his strength, flying up to save Bandstand from a long fall, whilst Sonic caused an updraft of air that slowed the balloon's descent.
Later, the residents of the nearby Gravel Pit Zone were brought here to be hypnotised by Sorders after being provoked into a fight by Tails.
