Goblins are small, mischievous creatures who have made numerous appearances in Earth's legends and culture. In Sonic the Comic and Sonic the Comic Online, goblins are depicted as residents of the Land Beyond and antagonists of the foxes of the Nameless Zone. They are shown to be much more warlike than the foxes and somewhat technically minded, having developed bulldozers and steam trains.
