Issue 66 is the sixty-sixth edition of Sonic the Comic. Released on the 25th of November 1995 at the price of £1.20, the issue contains four original stories (one of them new) as well as several features and a Jaws Badnik pin-up by Ferran Rodriguez.
A copy of this issue can be seen in Sonic the Hedgehog's bedroom in the story "Night Terrors!".

Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Project Brutus is a 4-part story by Nigel Kitching, Richard Elson and Ellie de Ville. Sonic has turned into Super Sonic and is ready to destroy Commander Brutus. He can easily damage his Megatal armour and even can dodge multiple laser blasts. When Doom-Foam fails to stop the hedgehog, Brutus escapes, leaving a normal Sonic to return to his friends. Back at Citadel Robotnik, Brutus apologises to Doctor Robotnik but is planning a revolution.
Decap Attack[]
Monster of the Year is a 3-part story written and drawn by Kitching, with lettering by Tom Frame. Professor Frank N. Stein has been invited to the Monster of the Year award to enter Chuck D. Head but first has to navigate a perilous train ride. On board, Chuck grapples with thug Keiff and the whole gang are thrown off for having the wrong tickets.
Knuckles[]
The Homecoming is a 4-part story by Kitching, Nigel Dobbyn and Elitta Fell. Knuckles shows the new arrival, Doctor Zachary, to the Emerald Chamber and explains what the Chaos Emeralds do. At night, Knuckles is attacked by the missing Guardian Robot but is powerless to stop it smashing the Master Emerald into pieces.
Sonic's World[]
Cybernik Strikes Back is a 5-part story written by Lew Stringer, drawn by Carl Flint, coloured by John M Burns and lettered by Steve Potter. Metamorphia has kidnapped Tekno the Canary and taken her back to Citadel Robotnik, but the dictator is less than pleased that his Chemical Plant Zone factory has been destroyed. At the site, Shortfuse the Cybernik is trapped in the water but uses his jet boots to escape. Noticing Tekno's disappearance, Shortfuse heads off to save his friend.
Features[]
Megadroid presents this issue's Control Zone, looking forward to Christmas with this week's stories and features. There is also a preview for next issue's Coronation Street competition. The Sega Charts show that FIFA Soccer '95 is still top of the Mega Drive chart. Elsewhere, new leaders are across the board, with Sega Classics, Mickey Mouse 2 and James Pond 2 - Robocod rising to the top of their respective charts.
Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is the first Mega Drive to get the full treatment in the Review Zone, with Neil Bryant giving it 82% after a double-page feature. He then covers Zoop!, awarding it 89% for its addictive gameplay. David Gibbon presents the third part of the Road Rash 3 Q Zone, providing several tips and some codes.
Speedlines finishes things off with two letters, one about changing STC to a weekly comic and another requesting the return of Decap Attack. All printed letters and pictures in the feature won Boomers a Highgrove Sonic Stationary set.
