Issue 54 is the fifty-fourth edition of Sonic the Comic. Released on the 10th June 1995 at the price of £1.15, the issue contains four original stories (two of them new) as well as several features and a Sonic & Knuckles pin-up.

Sonic the Hedgehog[]
Beware Predicto! is a complete story by Lew Stringer, Casanovas, John M Burns and Ellie de Ville. Grimer has created Predicto and fed the Trooper with all the information on Sonic the Hedgehog and friends it can take. The robot attacks the Freedom Fighters on the Floating Island and easily out-thinks them all, even when Knuckles the Echidna arrives. Sonic eventually defeats it by doing the opposite to what Predicto expects - surrender!
Kid Chameleon[]
Back to Unreality! is a 6-part story written by Michael Cook, drawn by Brian Williamson, coloured by Steve White and lettered by Tom Frame. At school, Casey has been found skipping lessons by Mister Simmons, but Suzi is more worried about him finding Brad in Wildside. Back in the game, Casey uses his chameleon powers to turn into Skycutter but the local inhabitants are keen to stop him reaching the telepad.
Knuckles the Echidna[]
Total Chaotix is a 6-part story by Nigel Kitching, with art by Richard Elson and letters by Elitta Fell. As a pair of Metallixes leave the Egg Fortress on a mission, Knuckles is still forced to deal with the Chaotix Crew. They are all easily dealt with, but a more pressing problem is the appearance of the Metallixes inside the Omni-Viewer.
Sparkster[]
Last of the Rocket Knights is a 6-part story by Kitching, Keith Page and Steve Potter. Sparkster has crept into Castle Zebulan to talk to Princess Shelly. He realises that his enchanted armour is removing King Gedol's spell from her mind, but he steps too far away, allowing the enchantment to return. The opossum is forced to fight Gedol's men but is horrified to learn that Gedol plans to marry Shelly.
Features[]
Megadroid introduces the issue's stories and features in the Control Zone and a Sega Sonic & Knuckles disposable camera goes to Boomers who sent in photos of their pets. Winter Olympics is the new Mega Drive leader in the Sega Charts this week and Bram Stoker's Dracula is a new entry that comes in at the top of the Master System list. 'Ground Zero Texas and Road Rash are still the Mega-CD and Game Gear leaders, respectively.
Nick Protz is in charge of this issue's Review Zone, dedicating two pages to Knuckles' Chaotix. Protz awards the game 88% for its "fast and furious action" but wishes it "could be more challenging". This issue's Graphic Zone celebrates the arrival of the Wimbledon tennis championships, with sporty pictures of Sonic and friends winning the artists a pack of Crayola Overwriters.
A Mickey Mania special begins in the Q Zone, with David Gibbon providing a walkthrough for the game's first three levels. Speedlines features more tennis pictures as well as letters about Issue 50, the 32X and that Knuckles is the ugliest resident of the Floating Island. Published Speedlines entries won a Highgrove Sonic Stationary set.
