Fajar was a child from Shanazar who acted as a container for the genies of the Mystic Mountain. Up to five years prior to his first appearance in Sonic the Comic, Fajar had crossed the Desert of Eternity in order to accept the honour of owning a genie. Time with this power greatly disfigured him, leading Sonic the Hedgehog to believe he was an old man. When called upon by the Imperial Guards, Fajar released his genie and ordered him to "deal with" Sonic. The genie obliged, knocking him out.
