Elves are small human-like creatures from Yuria who are often seen to be stealing people's possessions. Two of them are seen by a campfire in Citadel of Dead Souls, before Tyris-Flare and Gilius-Thunderhead attack them with fire-breathing Bizarrians. When the elves run away, the heroes steal some magic potions from the elves' sacks and replenish their energy. Gilius hypocritically berates the elves for stealing, in the middle of stealing the potions himself.
The elves are based on the "enemy" from the Golden Axe video games, often fought between levels but also appear in-level on occasion.
Taya of the Shining Force is a more traditional elf, complete with healing powers and above-average agility.
