Elder Robotnik is a future incarnation of Doctor Ivo Robotnik. As his name suggests, he is an old man; his ginger moustache has been replaced by a lengthy, grey beard and he now uses a flying walking frame. Since he is still wearing his "Eggman" jacket, it seems as if Elder Robotnik is fairly close to the current version.
History[]
The "elder" version of Robotnik was first seen when several incarnations of Robotnik were brought to 2011 Mobius by the Pirate Omni-Viewer. Along with his other selves, Elder Robotnik was able to partially defeat Sonic the Hedgehog and revealed that he had waited a long time to bring him down. Sonic instantly turned his attentions to this frail Robotnik, pulling on his beard until Ghost Robotnik passed through him.
Later, Elder Robotnik accompanied Sonic and the other Robotniks to the Egg Bastion, where a multitude of Sonics were attacking a fleet of Badniks. The old man tussled with the Sonic Adventure 2 Sonic, struggling to throw him from his flying machine. The fighting ceased when Reverse Robotnik summoned the Pirate Omni-Viewer to explain the situation. Thanks to Sonic, Vector the Crocodile and the Omni-Viewer, Elder Robotnik was able to return to his own time in order to protect the timeline.
