Doctor Sorders (also written as Dr. Sorders) is a hypnotist from an urban Zone on Mobius. The bird's name is a pun on the phrase "doctor's orders".
History[]
Before a routine mission to the Greenfield Zone, Tails became depressed when the citizens of Mobius forgot his name. Wishing he was as cool as Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails stumbled across an advert posted by Sorders, offering "self-improvement lessons" to "boring" and "untrendy" people. Tails took up the offer, visiting Sorders in her office. The doctor prompted Tails to lie on a couch before activating a hypnotic display of lights. Whilst the fox fell into a stupor, Sorders repeatedly assured him that he was cool enough to be anything he wanted. However, when Sorders turned off her light show, Tails had become too self-confident and flew away.
Concerned about Tails being too out of character, Sorders climbed on her bicycle (a rickety penny-farthing) and followed him to the Greenfield Zone. She was unable to witness Tails' bout of selfishness, but revealed to Sonic why his friend was acting oddly. Before Sorders could explain how she would reverse Tails' behaviour, Amy Rose informed the pair that Tails has flown to the Gravel Pit Zone. Sorders was dragged by Sonic to the Tough Tea Club, where the bird snapped her fingers and returned Tails to normal. Before a fight could truly break out, Sorders used her hypnotism to pacify the native dogs, turning them into peace-loving hippies.
