The Death Carrier was an enormous flying battleship that was almost always floating above the skies of Mobius. Owned by The Syndicate, the ship appeared to have no outward weapons but its main danger came from the Chaos Siphon, a device designed to absorb all the excess Chaos energy on the planet and use it to destroy the world. Inside, however, was many static guns, robots and even an Egg-o-Matic controlled by Vichama. Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower chased the insane Doctor Robotnik to the Death Carrier but found themselves trapped when Tails destroyed the bi-plane. After destroying legions of old Badnik models, Sonic managed to escape with Tails by using a water vehicle.
Later, the Death Carrier somehow parked underneath Flickies' Island and awaited Shadow the Hedgehog's return from the Special Zone. Once he was done with fighting Sonic and Knuckles the Echidna, the ship rose and took Shadow (and, inadvertantly, Knuckles) with it, destroying most of the island at the same time. After Sonic paid a visit to Drak to obtain a Chaos Tap, the Chaos Siphon began to overload with the Chaos energy and the ship tore itself apart. Super Sonic did his best to aid in the destruction by ripping bits off it in the fight against Shadow and the ship eventually sank into the sea with nobody left on board.
Trivia[]
- The Death Carrier is an alternate name for the Egg Carrier, Robotnik's ship in Sonic Adventure and a couple of other later games. At the same time, it could be a parallel to the Space Colony ARK, granted it's a battleship, not a space station.
- Shadow the Hedgehog was fully born here after spending most of his "life" in the Emerald Hill Zone.
- Omochao was a robot who aided people with directions, but was destroyed by a mis-timing Rexon Badnik.
