A Day in the Life of Robotnik is a Doctor Robotnik story that first appeared in Issue 42 of Sonic the Comic as a bonus strip. It was later reprinted in Issue 196.

Story[]
Doctor Robotnik is having the time of his life, hopping and skipping through a green Zone with his furry friends. As they nestle down to sleep in the good doctor's arms, they are all in agreement that Robotnik is the sweetest man on Mobius. Fortunately for him, this has all been a nightmare for the dictator, who wakes up in his own bed and begins his day. After insulting a pair of Penguinators, Robotnik tucks into several eggs, inhumanely produced by an electronic Battery Hen. He then spends the rest of his day producing traps to catch Sonic the Hedgehog (such as the Atomic Pea-Shooter and Power Pack Y-Fronts) and machines that will destroy the planet's greenery. Mantis Badniks then head out to retrieve live bait for Robotnik's new scheme, Porker Lewis one such capture.
In the Scrap Brain Zone, Sonic soon arrives to destroy the watching Troopers and frees his friends. A Pointdexter tells a frustrated Robotnik that his plans have failed once again, so he orders the failed Badniks to be melted down in order to create new, improved robots. For the rest of his day, Robotnik festers with hatred in his lab, promising that he will one day capture Sonic and turn him into a Sonic Badnik. He then retreats to bed, enjoying a cup of cocoa and a soppy edition of True Teen Romance!
